There’s really no limit to the application of technology it seems. Presumably drawing from the technology in the 2014 Qashqai, Nissan’s engineers have designed automated office chairs that will return themselves to their original position.
Nissan's engineers said they designed these chairs because they realized that after long business meetings in the office, everyone was too tired to return their chairs to their original positions , so these chairs would help create a "more comfortable and convenient" office environment.
The chairs have a roller that allows it to rotate 360 degrees and that’s paired with a system that handles navigation. Four cameras are placed on the ceiling of the room to map the chairs position, and wirelessly send directions to navigate it back to its original position. As you can see in the video, the chairs can be set to return to position with just a clap, but they can also be otherwise be controlled from an app on your laptop.
Now if we could just apply the same technology to everything else in our homes!
