Nexus 4 and Android 4.2 Leaked in Video
Google's Android event may be cancelled but that doesn't stop the leak of a video showcasing the LG Nexus 4 running on Android 4.2.
According to Android Police, the almost two-minute long YouTube video was submitted by a telco in Sweden. At point of publication, the video has been made private but HardwareZone has made several screenshots of the video which can be seen on our Facebook album.
While the LG Nexus 4 is nothing new as previous leaks have given us a pretty accurate idea of its looks, the video reveals a new feature of Android 4.2 - Quick Settings. Apparently, users can now toggle the brightness of the display via a slider, enable or disable Wi-Fi connectivity, check the battery percentage, turn on or off Airplane Mode and Bluetooth connectivity.
Previous stock Android versions do not come with Quick Settings and several Android vendors such as ASUS and Samsung have implemented similar shortcuts on their mobile devices. Nonetheless, we welcome the addition of Quick Settings on stock Android without having the need to install third party apps such as Power Toggles.
