Razer has updated its Kraken Pro gaming headset with features like in-line volume and mic controls. The already popular headset also features a fully retractable microphone, 40mm neodymium magnet drivers, and large ear cups that cover your ears entirely.

Now, users can adjust their headset volume and mute their microphone much more quickly since they don’t have to go through a separate app. The analog volume control dial also appears to feature raised ridges for more tactile control over the volume.

But other than the inclusion of additional controls, nothing much appears to have changed from the previous version of the Kraken Pro. Volume and mic controls are a pretty standard feature on many gaming headsets today, and it’s good to see that Razer has finally stepped up to offer the feature on one of its most popular headsets, even if it is a bit late to the game.

The updated headset will be available in Razer’s signature neon green, and black and white for those who prefer more understated colors. Razer didn’t say if the headset will be available in the Neon Series colors, but we wouldn't be surprised if it does so soon.

The new Kraken Pro is already available on the Razer Store for S$129.90 and is slated to begin shipping on 23 June. It joins Razer’s Kraken family of audio devices, including the USB-powered Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma and the original Razer Kraken.
