New Canon Advanced Pixma Photo Printers with Imaging Software Makes Most of Your Photos

Canon has released three new wireless Pixma printers - the Pixma MG6370 and Pixma MG5470 All-in-One photo printers, and the Pixma iP7270 Wireless Single-Function-Printer. Introducing fun software packages namely My Image Garden and Print Your Days, users can carry out scanning and printing tasks from that same interface.

My Image Garden helps arrange and organize photographs by grouping them into events, dates, and even by people. It can randomly select various photos within each group and suggest attractive layouts from collages to calendar layouts. On top of that, existing Canon software such as Creative Park Premium, Fun Filter Effects and Full HD Movie Print are integrated into My Image Garden for users’ convenience. Print Your Days is an app which allows users to print out photos directly from Facebook. Like My Image Garden, it helps users assemble photos into one of the 24 fun background themes to create unique prints. The interface is simple and icon-driven, with on-screen animations to guide users through the process.

Equipped with a printhead technology known as FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle), the new Pixma printers are capable of delivering microscopic droplets of ink (as small as 1pl) and excel in printing high-quality photos, even on plain paper. With FINE, users can expect professional-quality photos and a more efficient print speed. The three new Pixma models are now capable of printing resolutions as high as 9600 x 2400 dpi as well as a print speed of approximately 21 seconds for a 4” x 6” borderless photo. Black and white documents can be printed at a speed of approximately 15 ipm (images per minute), and color A4 documents at a speed of approximately 10 ipm.

All three printers come with Wi-Fi support, allowing for wireless LAN connectivity via IEEE802.11b/g/n standards. They are also compatible with Apple AirPrint, which gives iOS devices the ability to seamlessly connect to these printers without requiring any device driver installations. Users can also print Google documents and emails using a smart phone or PC remotely away from the printer with the Google Cloud Print feature.

The new wireless ability of the Pixma MG6270 and Pixma MG5470 empowers usersto connect to Canon’s PIXMA Cloud Link service, a PC-free solution for printing online photos and useful templates. By using the display UI on the printers, users can access and print photos and stationery templates from the Internet without going through a computer.
