MSI's VR One to get 7th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor upgrade
MSI's VR One to get hardware refresh, comes with 7th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor
MSI's VR One, a portable (quite literally) VR backpack will get a hardware refresh for 2017.
Not surprisingly, the main upgrade will be a shift from the previously used Intel Skylake processors to the newer 7th Gen, or Kaby Lake, CPUs. Two VR One models will be available, with both sporting identical hardware specifications including Nahimic 2+ Sound Technology, Thunderbolt 3 ports and 4K monitor output - saved for the graphics cards and storage options. It also comes with two battery packs that works independently from each other; so you can remove and replace an empty pack on the fly as long as the other is powering up the system.
The S$3,399 model will sport an NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB card with a 256GB NVMe SSD, while the top of the line version will come with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB and 512 NVMe SSD. The latter will set you back by S$3,999.
Will you be getting one?
