MSI has released the R9 270X Gaming 2G ITX graphics card that is suited for small form factor desktop gaming systems. The card features an AMD R9 270X GPU, codenamed Curacao XT, with 2GB of GDDR5 video memory. Using the Gaming App software, the card can be slightly overclocked, up to 1050MHz, from its base clock of 1030MHz.
The card has a customized PCB and measures just 170mm in length. It also features Military Class IV chokes and capacitors for stable power delivery. In order to keep things running cool, the cooling system boasts of a hybrid radial/axial fan called the MSI Radax. Therefore, serious overclockers can eschew the Gaming App and manually overclock the card with assurance.
The card has an ample selection of video connectivity options that consists of one dual-link DVI-D connector, two mini-DisplayPort ports, one mini-HDMI interface, and a HDMI one. It even comes bundled with two video port adapters; one DVI to D-Sub adapter, and one mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter.
