Motorola's Nexus 6 available in Singapore from 28 February

The Nexus 6 is finally available locally and with warranty!

Available in the US since October 2014, thanks to local distributor Brightstar, the 6-inch Motorola made Nexus 6 phablet will finally be available in local retail stores and your favorite local online vendors from tomorrow, 28 February.

The Nexus 6 has two storage capacities (32GB and 64GB), but only the 32GB edition will be retailing locally and it will be going for a suggested price of S$998. While this is the suggested retail price, if you do hunt around, you can have it for much less. Some of our forum members have sourced some quotes to share over here and here. The phablet will be available in two color options:- Midnight Blue or Cloud White.

Take note that the phone will not be available with telco contracts, which means you can’t get this from Singtel, Starhub or M1.

Here are its key specs:-

The Nexus 6 is the earliest device to come factory installed with Google's latest OS update, the Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Most of the upgrades for this OS are under the hood while the user interface sees light updates with a new Material Design look and feel. You can read about the key updates of Android 5.0 over here.
