For the first time in the Moto G lineup, there will be two variants; one with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, and another with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Both models sport a 5.0-inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.4GHz processor, Android 5.1 Lollipop, a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Other specs include IPX7 water resistance (up to 1 metre for 30 minutes), 4G LTE connectivity, a 2,470mA battery (supports fast charging) and a microSD memory card slot (supports up to 32GB). Aside from customizing the Moto G with a variety of colored rear covers, you can personalize the smartphone with Moto Maker where you can pick the colors, memory and accents to make a unique combination.

Starting from retail prices of US$179.99 (1GB RAM/8GB internal storage) and US$219.99 (2GB RAM/16GB internal storage), the Moto G (2015) will be available in more than 60 countries throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific from today.

If both variants of the Moto G are available in Singapore, expect to pay at least S$245 for the base model and S$300 for the higher end model.

The flagship smartphone for Motorola this year will be the Moto X Style. The Moto X Style comes with a 5.7-inch Quad-HD edge-to-edge display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and three internal storage options (16/32/64GB) with microSD support up to 128GB.

Unlike the IPX7-rated Moto G (2015), the Moto X Style has a water repellent coating that should protect against accidental spills. The Moto X Style is equipped with a 21-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with 4K video support, dual-CCT flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 87-degree wide angle lens and flash!

While it has a 3,000mAh battery, Motorola claims that the Moto X Style can deliver up to 30 hours of mixed usage and the phone supports fast charging too! Moto Maker is available for the Moto X Style and you get to personalize the phone with silicone, wood or leather options alongside metallic accents and engraving.

Motorola states that the phone will be available in September in various markets across Europe, Latin America and North America. It will be coming to Asia Pacific, China and India later this year. The retail price starts from US$399.99 (~S$546).

The Moto X Play is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.7GHz processor, 2GB RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is available in two storage options of 16GB and 32GB with microSD expansion up to 128GB. It is also equipped with the same imaging hardware - a 21-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera though 4K video recording capability is absent.

Available from August, the Moto X Play will hit retail shelves in Europe, Latin America and Canada. As for its pricing, Motorola reportedly said that it will cost "US$300-$400" lower than the current flagship smartphones.
