Is Google Android too complicated to use? Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer seems to think so.

According to the Telegraph, Ballmer shared his thoughts on the Google Android mobile operating system (OS) at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. He commented that people had to be "computer scientists" to use Android phones.

Telegraph - He said: “You don’t need to be a computer scientist to use a Windows phone and you do to use an Android phone…It is hard for me to be excited about the Android phones.”

Ballmer also felt that there is a need to start supporting cheaper Windows Phone devices in order to compete better with Android phones.

Ultimately, the decision lies with the consumer. Do check out our round-up on the three major mobile platforms (Apple iOS 5, Google Android 4.0 and Windows Phone 7.5 Mango) and determine for yourself whether Ballmer's statements are valid.
