Microsoft's AppComparison wants to lure Android users to Windows 10 Mobile

With the first Windows 10 Mobile devices available in retail stores across the U.S, Microsoft is stepping up its game to attract Android users to switch over to its camp.

The Redmond company recently released an app, AppComparison on the Google Play Store to help Android users find their favorite installed apps in the Microsoft Store. Not only does it want to make the switching over process as seamless as possible, Microsoft also hopes to improve the perception of its app store where there are equivalent apps or comparable alternatives.

VentureBeat gave it a try and found the experience a tad disappointing; the exact parallel apps on Microsoft Store such as Facebook, YouTube and Google are said to deliver an inferior user experience compared to their Android counterparts. Nonetheless, if you are giving Windows 10 Mobile a try come December, do head to the Google Play Store and download AppComparison.
