Microsoft announced that its Windows Phone Store now has more than 300,000 apps with "hundreds more" being added on a daily basis. To date, it also has seen over 4 billion downloads of apps and games.
The latest report reveals that momentum is still growing strong for the Windows Phone Store. Eight months ago, the Windows Phone Store crossed the 200,000 mark. However, this is still a far cry from the Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store where there are more than a million apps each.
The steady growth of the Windows Phone Store is good news for both Microsoft and Windows Phone users; the Windows Phone camp had long been criticized for its limited number of apps. Hopefully, the growing Windows Phone Store is able to attract more consumers over to its camp.
