Microsoft updates Surface Book with longer battery and better graphics

Last year, Microsoft announced its Surface Book 2-in-1 notebook/tablet hybrid and it left many people impressed.

It's a truly stunning device that combines the best of a notebook with a tablet.

This year, Microsoft has refreshed the Surface Book with the two things that Surface Book customers want the most: more performance and battery.

The refreshed Surface Books with still be powered by sixth generation Core i7 processors, but they will have larger batteries, thus giving them up to 16 hours of battery life - up from 12 hours.

Additionally, the new Surface Book will also have better graphics, in the form of NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 965M GPU

It's a decent mid-range mobile GPU that's good enough for gaming, but one has to wonder why wasn't NVIDIA's new 10-series mobile GPUs used instead.
