Microsoft Reveals Surface Pro Prices

Microsoft has just revealed the prices of its Surface Pro tablets in a blog post at the Official Microsoft Blog. The Surface Pro - with Ultrabook-like specifications - will come in two different versions, with the difference between them being the SSD size only.
The 64GB Surface Pro will retail at US$899, while the 128GB Surface Pro will cost consumers US$999. Each machine will be bundled with a Surface pen with Palm Block technology, but the Touch Cover and Type Covers will be sold separately.
Microsoft mentioned that the Surface Pro tablets will sport 3rd Generation Intel Core i5 processors, but didn't specify the clock speeds (or model numbers) of the processors. Both models will have 4GB of RAM, and a Full HD 10-point multitouch display (1920 x 1080-pixel resolution).
As for connectivity, the Surface Pro tablets have fewer ports than regular Ultrabooks. It has a regular USB 3.0 port, a card reader slot, a Mini Display port, and a cover port where you attach a Touch or Type cover. The Surface Pro tablets also have plenty of the same sensors found in premium tablets out in the market (such as an accelerometer, and a gyroscope).
Microsoft's blog post also dedicated a large chunk of text to reintroduce the Surface pen and to emphasize on the "great inking experience" the Surface Pro tablets will deliver.
