M1’s existing in-contract and mySIM customers can get Upsized Data now

Note: This article was first published on 9th June 2016.

Starting today, M1 customers with an existing contract or a 12-month mySIM plan can grab the Upsized Data add-on.

This means that M1’s Upsized Data add-on is no longer restricted only to new or re-contracting M1 customers. Any user with an existing contract or 12-month mySIM plan can boost their mobile data allotment for an extra S$5.90 a month.

“We constantly look at how we can provide our customers with better value. With this extension, more customers can enjoy Upsized Data to stream videos, music, and share pictures anytime, anywhere, with peace of mind,” said P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer of M1.

The Upsized Data add-on increases a user’s mobile data allotment, based on their mobile plan. For example, if you have the i/Lite+ plan with 3GB mobile data bundled within , getting Upsized Data would give you another 2GB mobile data at S$5.90 per month. If you have the i/Max+ plan that comes with a 13GB allotment, getting the add-on would give you another 12GB at S$5.90 per month.

Below is a break-down on the respective plans and their allotments, next to the Upsized Data add-on. You can also find this chart on the M1 website:

If you wish to start with this add-on right now, you can SMS “act Upsize” without the quotation marks to 1627, or simply activate it via the M1 app or M1’s account management portal. Do note that there’s a S$10.70 registration fee for Upsize Data add-on. The add-on’s Terms & Conditions page can be found here.
