LG’s new Portable Speaker art series looks as great as it sounds

LG has just unveiled a collection of portable speakers that feature the artwork of popular American street artist JonOne. Three designs are available for this new series, and these were all inspired by the themes of art, culture and street life.

The speakers will feature the same technology found in LG’s advanced wireless products, like Dual Play, which allows you to pair two units in a stereo configuration for dedicated left and right channels. Multi-Bluetooth technology also means that you will be able to control your speaker using up to two devices simultaneously, so you can shift easily from your tablet to your phone or vice versa.

The new speakers are obviously street influenced, with tagging across the entire speaker grill.

The LG Portable Speaker art series by JonOne was launched at La Place Hip Hop Cultural Center in Les Halles, a landmark in the local hip hop scene known as the proving ground for new talents in France, and JonOne had this to say about the collaboration: “I have worked closely with LG at every stage of the design process, and I believe that these speakers act as the perfect medium for my artwork.  Trumpeting the value of individuality and self-expression, LG’s latest portable speakers will inspire consumers to embrace their passions and live with more artistic intensity in their daily lives.”

Flashy designs, but still packed with technology within.

The LG Portable Speaker art series will roll out in France and other European countries starting this month, but pricing and availability for the rest of the world is yet to be announced.
