Prada and LG Electronics (LG) renewed their exclusive mobile phone partnership at a signing ceremony in Seoul, Korea. Under this partnership, LG will be PRADA’s exclusive mobile phone partner.

The collaboration that began in 2006 resulted in two premium mobile phones, one of which being the LG KE850 Prada phone. These jointly developed phones have a heavy focus on design, targeting key elements such as external aesthetics and user interface.

In fact, in honor of its design effort, the Prada phone by LG 1.0 is part of the permanent collection in New York City’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Shanghai.

LG's second Prada branded phone took a step further, providing users with an easy access to caller ID, SMS text messages, call history, call block and two-way alarm notification through a secondary accessory designed as a watch. Think of it as the good old spy watches used by Dick Tracy.

Building on this partnership’s previous success, the two companies will develop the Prada phone by LG 3.0, slated to be introduced sometime in early 2012.
