Lenovo Announces its IdeaPad Y Series in Singapore
Lenovo has announced its IdeaPad Y Series range in Singapore. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y400 and Y500 mobile gaming and multimedia laptops feature the UltraBay, a feature which includes an interchangeable bay that users can instantly swap out for dual graphics capability, increased storage space, or an additional cooling fan. In addition, the laptops also include JBL speakers with Dolby Home Theater v4 for full-impact surround sound.

Packing a Intel Ivy Bridge i7-3630QM processor, each model comes with an NVIDIA GeForce GT650M 2GB dual graphics, 8GB DDR3 memory, and 1TB of HDD storage. With 14- and 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD displays, they each sport a eye-catching fiber patterned cover, a dual-layer backlit AccuType keyboard which has a snazzy red color peeking out from under the black chiclet-style keys. On top of that, the IdeaPad Y400 and Y500 incorporates an intelligent touchpad that is optimized to work with the Windows 8 Metro interface with easy scroll, zoom, and rotate functions.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y400 and Y500 will start retailing from mid January 2013 through all authorized Lenovo retailers, with prices starting from S$1,699 and S$1,999 respectively.
