A leaked Intel SSD roadmap has revealed the company’s plans to release three new SSD series. The Fultondale and Pleasantdale series SSDs will come in 2.5-inch and PCIe add-in card formats; while the Template Star drives will be available in 2.5-inch and M.2 form factors.
According to the slides, only the Fultondale (DC P3700) and Pleasantdale (DC P3500) series will feature drives with capacities up to 2TB. The Fultondale SSDs will feature Intel’s High Endurance Technology (HET) 20nm MLC NAND, making them suited for high reliance applications than the Pleasantdale series.
The Template Star (Pro 2500) SSDs will be available in different capacities, depending on its form factor. In its M.2 format, its capacity can reach as large as 360GB; while in its 2.5-inch drive format, the Template Star has a maximum capacity of 480GB.
