Until today, we've only seen leaked blueprints and renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Now, Android Authority and @OnLeaks published an exclusive photo of what seems to be the front panel of the device.

Aside from confirming that the Galaxy Note 7 will indeed have dual-edge panel and a 5.8-inch display, the additional cutouts on the top of the front panel suggest that Samsung will be equipping its next phablet with an iris scanner!

An iris scanner feature was reportedly seen alongside the fingerprint authentication as a security option in the settings menu of the Samsung Galaxy Beta Program. Moreover, Samsung has registered Galaxy Iris and Galaxy Eyeprint trademarks in the U.S, the EU and South Korea.

Other rumored specs of the Galaxy Note 7 include an Exynos 8893 processor, 6GB RAM, storage options of 64GB/128GB/256GB, a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixels and optical image stabilization, a front-facing 5-megapixel camera, Android 6.0.1 with a new Grace UX, USB Type-C port, a 4,000mAh battery, IP68 water and dust resistance and a new S-Pen. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 7 at a launch event in New York on 2nd August.
