Back in January this year, the Kingston HyperX Predator DDR4-3333 RAM took the crown for the highest overclocked memory at 4351MHz. Now, Kingston is looking to set another record with the release of a new high-capacity HyperX Predator DDR4 128GB memory kit (8 x 16GB, quad-channel), which it claims is the fastest 128GB kit on the market. HyperX Predator DDR4 memory kits were previously available only in capacities up to 64GB.

The new memory modules are clocked at 3000MHz and run at 16-16-16-36 timings with an Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) on an MSI X99 MPOWER motherboard and Intel Core i7-5820K processor.

Taken individually, there are definitely faster DDR4 modules available, like the aforementioned HyperX Predator DDR4-3333 sticks. However, each RAM module in this kit has a capacity of 16GB, which in itself is quite a rarity. Most 16GB modules are not clocked so high, so Kingston’s new DDR4-3000 sticks take the cake here.

Kingston said that details on pricing for the new HyperX Predator 16GB DDR4 modules and kits will be forthcoming in the future. There’s no further information on that front now, but Kingston says that it will be demonstrating a high-performance system featuring the upcoming 16GB modules and its recently-released HyperX Predator M.2 PCIe SSD at Computex in June.
