Incoming Second Wave of Ultrabooks Push US Prices of Current Models Down

The HP Envy 14 (Spectre) isn't sporting an Ivy Bridge processor, but it will be covered in very tough Gorilla Glass.

A number of Ultrabooks were revealed during CES 2012, much to the delight of consumers and gadget fans all over the world. We've laid eyes on the Lenovo Yoga, a glass covered HP Envy 14 (Spectre) and even a premium Acer Aspire S5 which got us all excited.

However, to make way for these fantastic notebooks in the market, the logical thing to do would be to reduce the prices of current models already out in the market -- which is what some of the bigger vendors are beginning to do in the US.

According to Digitimes and their retail channel sources, the vendors are already preparing to pave the way for upcoming Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks by reducing prices as much as 25%.

So if you are holding out for an Ultrabook already in the market, the upcoming month would be a good time to take the plunge and invest in one when prices in Singapore dips. If you have no idea what an Ultrabook is, that's okay too because we've got you covered.
