HTC Shows Off How It Builds the HTC One

You may have read our hands-on with the soon-to-be-available HTC One, and are well versed with its hardware specs, but do you know how it’s built, especially how HTC manages to achieve a ‘zero gap construction’?

If you’re into such behind the scenes details, HTC has over the weekend posted a video over at its YouTube channel showing off some of the processes that help mold and shape its newest flagship smartphone. You’ll hear about one ‘electrochemical etching process’ that allows the One’s metal surface to gain a ‘nanomatrix structure’. You’ll also hear about a new CNC process that uses a specially designed bolt cutter to give the One its natural curve at the back. And then there’s the diamond cutter that’s used to create those shiny chamfers around the One.
