Hasselblad’s new Medium Format Mirrorless Camera leaked!
PetaPixel and FujiRumors have both posted what appears to be an early banner showing off Hasselblad’s latest medium format camera - the X1D – and it’s unique that it is being advertised as the world’s first mirrorless medium format digital camera.
You can see from the pictures that the camera will come with a built-in viewfinder, and the image on the rear LCD suggests the menu system will be similar to what is found on the H6D. The front view shows a huge medium format sensor and a fairly thin body, as well as the price tag – US$8995. MirrorlessRumors also has images of the first two lens for the system – the Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/3.5 lens which retails for US$2295, and the Hasselblad XCD 90 mm f/3.2 lens, which will retail for US$2295.
There’s also a link to a google-cached version of the X1D gallery, though it does appear as though only images from Laura Bailey can be viewed at the moment. Rumors have the camera matched with a 50MP resolution sensor so it certainly should be interesting to see how this fits into the company’s line-up.
With the launch date said to be June 22nd, 14:00 Swedish time, do check back again tomorrow for more details after the official launch.
