Good news for users of Nexus 7 - Google is rolling out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean over-the-air (OTA) update to the device. Although the update is only 31.3MB in size, Android 4.1.2 brings two new features which are support for landscape mode and expanding notifications with one finger.

Previously, the home screen of the Nexus 7 is restricted to portrait mode only and we believe the support for landscape orientation is a feature users have been eagerly waiting for.

In addition, Android Police stumbled upon a change to the way expandable notifications are handled by Jelly Bean. First introduced in Android 4.1, users have to swipe with two fingers to expand or collapse notifications. With Android 4.1.2, the same task can be performed using one finger. This makes it easier to expand or collapse notifications while holding the Nexus 7 in one hand.

Besides these two main features, the Android 4.1.2 update will improve performance, stability and fixes a few bugs. Google has provided a download link for the update for users who can't wait for the OTA update to arrive on their tablets.
