Just a week ago, we reported that Samsung was working on building their own smart watch. On the other hand, Apple has long been rumored to be building their own smart watch. And now, if a report from The Financial Times is to be believed, Google is looking to join the fray. Allegedly, Google's Android unit is presently working on building and developing a smart watch.
What's interesting to note is that unlike Apple and Samsung, Google already has a pretty successful wearable electronic gadget in its Google Glass. However, Google Glass was developed by the company's experimental X Lab.
Also intriguing is that smart watches seem to be all the rage these days, even if it seems that existing technologies cannot fulfill the concept of a true smart watch. Nevertheless, such endeavors will only push the limits of what present technology is capable of, but to be realistic, don't expect to see smart watches from any of the three aforementioned tech giants any time soon.
