Google app for iOS gets better security, YouTube video support, and tweaks

The Google search app for iOS just got a slight upgrade today, and Google shared with us the three little things that make it better for its users. Here’s the down-low.

Incognito mode in Google app

It’s not just your Chrome browser anymore – the Google search app now supports incognito mode, which prevents the app from saving your search and browsing history. Google adds a nice touch by incorporating Touch ID into the new incognito mode too; if the user chooses to, only their prints can allow them to re-enter the existing incognito session, after they exit the Google app.

YouTube video support

Users can now watch YouTube videos within Search. This cuts down on load time and number of web pages, and it’s really handy for a quick tutorial without leaving the app.

Under the hood upgrades

Google made the app less likely to crash, by making it twice as reliable as before.
