Gigabyte Announces New Brix Gaming Mini-PC Series
Gigabyte has refreshed the Brix Mini-PC series with its new Brix Gaming PC kit. Powered by a 4th gen Intel Core Haswell processor, with a NVIDIA GTX 760 graphics chip, the system is touted as a compact D-I-Y kit to address the graphical compute needs of gamers and designers alike.
The Brix Gaming PC kit comes in either black or green, and its choice of CPU is either a dual-core Intel Core i5-4200H or an Intel Core i7 that will only be available later in August. The company has up the ante by pairing the Haswell processor with a GTX 760 graphics chip. It comes with an on-package 3GB or 6GB of GDDR5 memory.
In addition, the Brix Gaming supports Ultra HD or 4K displays, and it comes with a mini DisplayPort port, and a pair of HDMI ones. For network connectivity, the kit ships with a mini-PCIe wireless module that supports up to 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 standards. The Brix Gaming also has a Gigabit LAN connector, and it has a total of four USB 3.0 ports. The kit comes with a VESA bracket so that it can be mounted behind a compatible display. Like the other Brix mini-PC kits, you get to decide the amount of memory and storage options, in order to complete the package. It has two SO-DIMM DD3L slots and options for both mSATA SSD and standard 2.5-inch drives (SSD or HDD).
