Facebook's latest feature, a groups option that enables users to separate their friends into different groups and hence control the type of information shared, is something that has been lacking from the social networking site for the longest time. It's a very useful feature and together with other new additions, like allowing users to download everything that they have uploaded to Facebook, should address some of the criticisms leveled at the social networking site.

The biggest change will allow users to map their offline life to the online world through small groups. Users will also be able to download all the data they have uploaded onto the site.
