Evernote for Windows Now Syncs Quicker and Includes Image Annotation

Evernote is rolling out two significant enhancements today, to the Evernote for Windows. After the update, you'll find that sync is now speedier, and you get to annotate images inside of your notes.

Now you can make the tons of images in your account, including web pages you clipped and photos snapped using Evernote on your phone, more useful. If you mouse over an image, you'll find an Annotation button at the top right corner. Once you open the Annotation Tool, just point something out using arrows and stamps, add text and shapes, or crop and resize. Close the window and your note updates with your annotated image. This feature goes from identifying a key part of a data visualization to mapping out your garden.

Besides enhanced stability, Evernote Business users and those with sizable Evernote accounts would already have noted a considerable improvement in sync performance. To be accurate, sync speeds are now up to four times quicker as before.
