ePad Femme First Tablet Designed Specifically for Women

Are you a lady that has trouble downloading apps or finding a wallpaper in your favorite color? Good news, Dubai-based tech company, Eurostar Group (no relation to the European railway service Eurostar) has designed a tablet specifically for you. The ePad Femme, an 8-inch tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, comes pre-loaded with a light pink wallpaper and apps concerning yoga, grocery shopping, and cooking.
Speaking to the Jerusalem Post, Eurostar associate vice president of marketing Mani Nair said that the tablet comes with the pre-loaded womanly applications so the user can “just turn it on and log in to cooking recipes or yoga.” He maintains that the product is not sexist, but “makes a perfect gadget for a woman who might find difficulties in terms of downloading these applications and it is a quick reference.”
Eurostar Group is currently selling the ePad Femme for the relatively affordable US$190, which puts it in the same league as the gender-neutral ASUS Google Nexus 7. Unsurprisingly, the ePad Femme has not, as of yet, become a big seller.
