Enermax has introduced their Triathlor series of PSUs, the successor to the Modu82+ series. The Triathlor series consists of two versions: Triathlor and Triathlor FC, which come in a classic black housing and include the highest capacity Japanese capacitors.
The series integrates an expensive DC-to-DC conversion technology, which effectively reduces the energy loss and significantly improves voltage regulation. By generating secondary voltages (3.3V and 5V) through the 12V rail, the Enermax Triathlor saves space on the circuit board and achieves a better air circulation inside the PSU. Still, the power supply is able to sustain stable voltages even at 0W load.
Integrating a 12cm T.B.Silence fan, the PSUs come with a patented Twister bearing which promises a smooth and frictionless operation with a minimum lifespan of 100,000 hours. Also, the smart RPM control of the Triathlor series regulates the speed depending on the temperature inside and the PSU load.
With sleek flat, black modular cables to simplify the cable routing inside the case, the Triathlor FC is built to power all possible hardware configurations for possible upcoming new CPU and GPU 10 and/or 12P connectors. Enermax provides at least three 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors per PSU and relies on a Multi-Rail design with two massive 12V rails that generate up to 99% of the total PSU power.
