D-Link Unwraps DWA-182 Wireless AC Dual-Band USB Adapter

They are scarce, and it's nice to know that someone other than Netgear has one in store at this point in time. We're talking about dual-band 802.11ac USB adapters.
Unveiled by D-Link yesterday, the sleek and handy DWA-182 features a maximum theoretical throughput of up to 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, and 867Mbps for the 5GHz band. The adapter's wireless and speedy AC capabilities also makes it ideal for HD video streaming and VoIP applications, such as Skype and Facetime.
Sam Wong, Sales Director of D-Link International Pte Ltd, adds that the DWA-182 is backward compatible with older routers as well, such as 802.11n-based models. Other features include a WPS Push Button which enables the adapter to connect to the home network in a matter of minutes. Supported encryption standards include WEP, WPA, and WPA2.
According to the Taiwanese firm, the DWA-182 will be available for retail in about a week's time, and it's yours for a relatively decent price of S$109.
