Cougar has launched a high-end lineup of power supplies - the PowerX series.

Designed specifically for extreme gamers, the PowerX comes in 2 versions - the 550W and 700W - which both offer a high efficiency rate of up to 87%. Certified 80 Plus Bronze, they come wrapped in black and orange metallic coating, and feature the 5Vsb OverVolt Protection safety function, so users need not worry about unstable voltage damaging their mobile devices when they use their PCs to charge them.

With the latest eco-friendly EuP regulation, the ErP Lot6 2013, energy consumption is lower than 0.45W when the PC is in standby mode, saving plenty of power. Supporting the newest specifications of ATX 12V, the PSUs are created for use with current and next-gen multi-core CPU platforms.

Also, the PowerX series uses 12cm fans which adapts their rotating speed to the PSU's temperature, without compromising on the noise levels. Its Dynamic Dual-12V rails allow for automatic dynamic load distribution, providing power separately to the GPU and CPU. The PSU automatically re-routes needed power from unused lines, enhancing the performance of the 12V lines significantly for systems with high-end graphics cards in SLI or CrossFireX mode.
