Corsair announces new Vengeance LPX DDR4 memory, including a 3,000MHz 128GB kit

High-capacity memory kits are here to stay. G.Skill just unveiled a speedy 3,000MHz 128GB DDR4 kit with timings of 14-14-14-34 last week, and it’s now Corsair’s turn to jostle for headlines with a high-capacity 3,000MHz kit of its own. However, the new Vengeance LPX DDR4 128GB kit isn’t quite as fast as G.Skill’s, with timings of 16-18-18-36 instead.

It is rated to run at 1.35V and comes with the familiar black, all-aluminium heatspreaders and an eight-layer PCB for faster heat dissipation.

In addition, Corsair also announced new 32GB and 64GB kits for system builders with more modest memory requirements. The 32GB kit goes up to 3,600MHz with 18-19-19-39 timings, while the 64GB kit run at 3,333MHz at 16-18-18-36 timings. Unlike the 128GB Vengeance LPX kit, they are available in red as well to suit a wider range of color-themed builds.

Unfortunately, these memory kits don’t come cheap. The 32GB kit costs US$349.99, while the 64GB one will go for US$549.99. And if you’re willing to go all out, you’ll need to come up with a staggering US$1,174.99 for the 128GB kit.
