If you’re looking for a sub-S$100 photo printer, take note that Canon has just launched the Pixma MG3070S, a S$79 wireless multi-function device with print, copy, and scan functions.

Designed for users who print occasionally, the MG3070s, which is now on sale at Canon authorized distributors and dealers, comes bundled with setup ink cartridges PG-745S (black) and CL-746s (tri-color), which are capable of printing up to 100 pages each, and which cost S$15.15 and S$22.50 respectively. For those who print more, standard and high-yield versions of these cartridges are available as well. Additionally, the printer prints up to 8.0 images per minute (ipm) in monochrome and 4.0 ipm in color.

The Pixma MG3070S has built-in Wi-Fi too, including a cable-free Access Point mode for connecting to mobile devices without using a wireless router. Google Cloud Print is supported, and the printer works with Canon’s own Print Inkjet/Selphy mobile app for wireless printing and scanning of documents and photos. From the app, users can view remaining ink levels, make changes to printer settings, and register their printers to new cloud services. There’s also a remote copy function that allows users to make a document copy when they are not physically at the printer.
