Canon Launches Its Ultra-Portable LE-5W Multimedia Projector

Canon has introduced its first ultra-portable projector, the Canon LE-5W Multimedia Projector, that's ideal for both business and home entertainment use.

Equipped with a wide range of connectivity ports, the lightweight LE-5W delivers 500 lumens of brightness, WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution and superb colour fidelity with a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Weighing just 1.6kg, it features a throw ratio of 1.2:1 that achieves large-screen projections even in tight spaces. The projector also comes with a Tripod Mounting Socket on its base to help make projection possible in tight locations.

With two built-in 2.5W stereo speakers, it has an HDMI input and five different projection modes so it can be used to project high-quality movies, video games, and still-or-streamed images from PCs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, HD streaming players, and digital cameras onto nearly any flat surface. Enabling PC-less smart presentations directly from a USB thumb drive, SD card, or its own built-in 1.5GB memory, it powers up in 4 seconds and shuts down in less than a second. In a scratch-resistant finish, the LE-5W incorporates an energy-saving, long-life 3 LED technology, and features an integrated lens cover and built-in power adaptor.

The Canon LE-5W Multimedia Projector will be available at Canon authorized dealers at S$1,099 in September.
