Canon Announces Eight Portable Projectors from the LV-series
Canon introduces eight LV-series LCD multimedia projectors which are classified into the Advanced (A), Middle (M), and Standard (S) series, to suit the respective groups of users.
Packing the most extensive hardware features, the A series projectors are advanced models which house HDMI ports for high resolution digital output and RJ45 ports for network connectivity. Administrators can remotely monitor the projector, turn it on and off, modify the network environment, and receive email notifications about the network status. Leading this series is the LV-8227A with an overwhelming 3000:1 contrast ratio, followed by the LV-7392A, LV-7297A, and LV-7292A that make use of the Auto Iris Mode and Lamp Dimmer function to achieve contrast ratios of up to 2000:1.
The only model in the M series, the LV-8227M, includes a HDMI port, and, like the LV-8227A model, features a brightness of 2500 lumens, and can project at the WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800. The three models from the S series - LV-7392S, LV-7297S and LV-7292S - are ideal for projecting sharp pictures and larger text. The LV-7392S comes with a brightness rating of 3,000 lumens while the LV-7292S, 2,200 lumens.
The projectors are packaged with their respective cables, remote controllers, and bags and will be available starting end July 2012.

Singapore – Canon today introduced eight LCD multimedia projectors, designed to display sharp, high quality images for various settings. The range of LV projectors, now categorised as the Advanced (A), Middle (M) and Standard (S) series, caters to the requirements and budgets of different groups of users.
The Right Features for the Right Budget
The A series
The A series projectors are advanced models that boasts the most extensive hardware features, including HDMI ports for high resolution digital output and RJ-45 ports for network connectivity. Administrators can remotely monitor the projector, turn on and off the projector, modify the network environment and receive email notifications about the network status.
Leading this series is the LV-8227A, with an astounding 3000:1 contrast ratio, followed by the LV-7392A, LV-7297A, and LV-7292A that make use of the Auto Iris Mode and Lamp Dimmer function to achieve contrast ratios of up to 2000:1.
The M Series
LV-8227M, the only model in the M series, is ideal for use in SOHO and tight spaces. This model also features a HDMI port for high quality digital videos. Both the A and M series allows users to connect an external microphone without the need for additional audio systems. With 2500 lumens, the LV-8227A and LV-8227M are best used in research and medical institutions. Both can project at WXGA resolution (1280 x 800).
The S Series
The S series, namely the LV-7392S, LV-7297S and LV-7292S, caters to the needs of basic users with affordable price points. Both the M and S series are capable of contrast ratios of up to 500:1, suitable for projecting sharp pictures and larger text. The LV-7392A and LV-7392S offers a brightness rating of 3,000 lumens, making them suitable for large projections with some ambient light. With 2,200 lumens, even the LV-7292A and LV-7292S are sufficient for rooms with controlled lighting.
Swift Set Up, Swift Pack Up
All the projectors are compact in size, hence reducing weight for greater portability. An auto setup function is also incorporated into this range to promote the ease of use. By simply pressing the Auto Set function, the Auto Input detection, Auto Keystone correction and Auto PC adjustment will be enabled.
After presentations, users can immediately unplug the projector without having to turn it off, thanks to the Direct Power-Off function. This saves times and effort, especially if the power source is located far from the projector.
Longer Lasting and Environmentally Friendlier
Canon has equipped all the models in the new LV range with technologies to extend their operational lifespan. The lamps in these LCD projectors are long-life lamps that last up to 6,000 hours in eco mode. The triple-layered air filter similarly lasts about 5,500 hours. The filter replacement procedure is also designed to be as easy as sliding out the old filter and sliding in a new one.
A power management mode will detect situations where there is no input signal, and will automatically power-down the lamp after a countdown – this not only conserves power, but prolongs the lamp’s lifespan too.
All projectors packaging include cables, remote controller and a bag.
