Once you launch Bluebox Security scanner on your Android device, the app will start scanning and indicates whether the device is patched. It also alerts you to any malicious apps found.
Google has reportedly issued a fix for the security flaw, and provided it to the OEMs. In other words, Android users have to depend on the handset manufacturers to issue the update for their devices.
At point of publication, most of the recently released Android devices are patched. These devices include the LG Optimus G Pro, HTC Butterfly S, Sony Xperia Z, Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 mini.
