BitFenix Unleashes Survivor White Gaming Chassis

Gamers into self-assembled rigs can look forward to the new Survivor White - a mid-tower ATX gaming chassis unveiled by BitFenix yesterday. Clad in white, the case retains most of its predecessor's (the Survivor) aesthetics, such as a uniquely curved design to protect the unit and hardware within. The white theme is further extended to other accessories as well, such as the Recon fan controller and Spectre Pro LED fans. The Survivor White's body is also treated with BitFenix's SofTouch surface treatment to protect it from stains and scratches.
Pop open the I/O panel cover and it'd reveal a plethora of slots and controls, and they include audio jacks, power and reset buttons, an eSATA port, two USB 2.0 ports, two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, and last but not least, LED power controls compatible with the BitFenix Spectre LED fan light and Spectre Pro. For added portability, the Survivor White is equipped with a handle that locks into place when you need to tote the case around, and simply fold it down to put it away. The removable hard drive cage is able to accommodate extra-long graphics cards when removed, seven 2.5-inch SSD drives, or six 3.5-inch hard disks. To keep temperatures down, the unit also has room for two 200mm fans or three 120mm fans. A top-cooling 200mm Blue LED Fan is included with the Survivor White package.
Other benefits of the gaming chassis include dust filters on all air intakes to keep things nice and clean, internal cable management, and a tool-free design. The BitFenix logo situated at the front panel lights up in blue, and it can be disabled or enabled at the touch of a button. The Survivor White will be available on retail shelves at the end of November at a recommended retail price of 99€ (inclusive of 19% VAT) and US$109.
