Aztech Launches HomePlug AV 500Mbps

SINGAPORE - Aztech today announced the launch of a high-speed HomePlug AV 500Mbps Pass Through, HL115EP, to add on to its wide range of powerline ethernet adapters that currently includes the 85Mbps, 200Mbps and wireless extender models.

Aztech powerline products, known as HomePlugs, provide a fast and reliable cable-free solution to extend Internet access through powerline. Due to the ease of use and ability to work right out of the box, it is simple and fuss-free for anyone to set up their home or office network with Aztech HomePlugs.

Performance and Convenience in HomePlug AV 500Mbps

Aztech HomePlug AV 500Mbps Pass Through, HL115EP, offers the best performance of its range, enabling gigabit fast streaming of high bandwidth-demand applications with HD TVs, Blu-ray players, media players and game consoles at up to 500Mbps. Designed to provide additional convenience, Aztech HL115EP comes with an integrated noise-filtered power outlet, for plugging in a power strip to connect home-office equipment. This assures that using a HomePlug does not take away a power outlet for the user.

Simple and Fuss-free Set-up

No configuration or software is required to pair Aztech HL115EP. The HomePlug AV 500Mbps Pass Through pairs with a simple touch of a button. The “Simple Connect” button doubles as a security feature supported with 128-bit AES encryption.

Energy Saving and Eco-friendly

Aztech HL115EP complies with European Code of Conduct (CoC) on Energy Efficiency and the European Union’s Energy-using Products (EuP) Directive for low power and green-energy operation. The new Aztech HL115EP is HomePlug AV certified and designed to be backward compatible with HomePlug AV 200Mbps models.

Pricing and Availability

Aztech expects HomePlug AV 500Mbps Pass Through, HL115EP, to be available at retail stores in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong in July 2011 with MSRP of S$79 inclusive of GST in Singapore.
