Audio Technica has launched a remastered lineup of its M-series professional monitor headphones line during the 2014 Namm Show.
The M-series has been redesigned while maintaining the sonic signature of ATH-M50. The lineup also expands to include the ATH-M20x, ATH-M30x, ATH-M40x, and ATH-M50x. Perfect for long sessions in the studio and on-the-go, the new M20x, M30x, and M40x incorporate 40mm drivers with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminum voice coils, as well as a circumaural design that contours around the ears.
The ATH-M20x Professional Monitor Headphones are ideal for tracking and mixing, with enhanced audio and sound isolation. Tuned for highly detailed audio with strong mid-range definition, the M30x are also designed for studio tracking and mixing, with added features for increased portability for field recording as well. Both models include a convenient single-side cable exit with a permanently attached 3m cable. Tuned flat for accurate audio monitoring across an extended frequency range, its collapsible design offers portability and storage, while its swiveling earcups provide for convenient one-ear monitoring. It comes with two detachable cables, making it optimal for DJ monitoring.
The M50x integrates 45mm drivers, featuring the same sonic signature as the original M50 and adds refined earpads and three detachable cables. It provides for critical audio applications, including recording, broadcast, DJ, live sound, and personal listening.
The ATH-M20x, ATH-M30x, ATH-M40x, and ATH-M50x Professional Monitor Headphones will be retailing from February onwards. The ATH-M50x will be available in Black, White, and a limited edition Blue.
