ASUS Releases Its First Ultra-light HD P1M Portable LED Projector

ASUS has released the P1M Portable LED Projector. Rated at 200 ANSI lumens with the ability to project visuals in HD 1280 x 800, the P1M utilizes a mercury-free Eco-LED light source, which has a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours - that's about 20 years if you use the projector 4 hours daily.

Users can set up the P1M in as little as five seconds from power-up, while cooling down period is not required at all as it powers off instantly. The Auto Keystone Correction feature detects the P1M's orientation and automatically corrects distorted trapezoid images that results from an angled projection, saving the user time and hassle of having to adjust the image.

Weighing at 415g with a size similar to that of a CD case, the projector enables instant height adjustment made possible with a flip-down stand that can be quickly adjusted, removing time and effort spent on traditional, adjustable screw-stands. With a short throw ratio of 1.16:1, users can enjoy HD projections the size of a 40-inch display even if the P1M is just a meter from the screen. At this size, even 8-point fonts can be visibly seen and read clearly.

Compatible with most ASUS notebook AC power adapters (≧65W), ASUS's Ultra-light HD P1M Portable LED Projector costs S$799.
