ASUS' New IPS Designo Monitors Go Framelessa
'Tis the season for IPS monitors it seems. Dell launched their new S Series displays a few months ago and now ASUS is following hot on their heels with their new Designo line. The new product series features a 27-inch screen which will be released at Sitex 2012 and a 23-inch screen which can be expected to hit shelves in the first quarter of 2013.
The Designo monitors feature an AH-IPS panel which brings great viewing angles and color fidelity to the table. The 27-inch MX279H displays content in full HD 1920 by 1080 resolution. It also has a response time of 5ms, which should be sufficiently high to meet the needs of gamers and regular users alike.
Dual 3W stereo speakers have been built in to the monitors to handle audio duties. As an added bonus the Designo MX Series displays features ASUS SonicMaster technology, which was co-developed by the ASUS Golden Ear team and Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, for quality sound.
