ASUS Launches Taichi Convertible Device in Singapore

ASUS has announced a fusion of notebook and tablet with innovative dual-screen design - the Taichi. Switching seamlessly between a slim 10-point multi-touch tablet and a fully featured Ultrabook, the ASUS Taichi is designed to be multi-faceted, with two sides transforming into four distinct usage modes: Notebook screen, tablet screen, mirror screen and dual screen.

A sleek and stylish 11.6-inch Ultrabook with a back-to-back dual-screen design for unparalleled mobile flexibility and versatility, Taichi comes powered with an Intel Ivy Bridge i7 processor and two back-to-back Full High Definition (FHD) IPS screens for sharing information in new ways on the new Windows 8 platform, all in a slender profile that tapers to a mere 3mm at just 1.25kg.

Besides incorporating SonicMaster technology co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, the Taichi also includes a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with 1080p Full HD video recording and a secondary 720p HD video camera, along with a noise-suppressing array microphone for crystal-clear video chat in challenging
environments.
