ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime Priced at S$899 for Singapore (Updated)

Unfortunately, the pre-order special deal is no longer available, so it's back to the usual price of S$899 (Source: ASUS Singapore Facebook page)

Update #1: We just received word from ASUS Singapore that an additional 200 units of Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be offered at S$699 (Pad only) during the official launch in Singapore on 11th January 2012 at Suntec City Galleria Foyer, from 6.00pm onwards

Update #2: According to a Facebook post by ASUS Singapore and a spokesperson from the company, the Transformer Prime with the docking station is offered at an introductory price of S$899 (usual price S$1098) while the tablet on its own will be offered at S$759 (usual price S$899). ASUS Singapore wasn't able to comment on when this introductory price will end.

Looks like ASUS just let the cat out of the bag with the pricing of its ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime. Just a few hours ago, the company posted an update on its Facebook page, announcing a pre-order special deal for the Android tablet.

Instead of its usual pricing at S$899, the first 100 customers who pre-order the Transformer Prime (without the keyboard dock) will get to purchase it at S$699. Though the promotion was to last till 9th January, the pre-order quota was met within a few hours.

The Transformer Prime is touted to be the world's first tablet powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It retains the same design concept of having a keyboard dock that acts as a secondary battery to extend the Transformer Prime's stamina.
