SINGAPORE - The new ASUS N Series notebook, the result of a collaboration between ASUS and Intel receives its much worldwide launch on 29th September 2011. The notebook has a simple, modern and elegant design from award-winning designer David Lewis, and its audio capabilities were developed in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, one of the world’s leading audio-visual brands.
At the heart of the notebook is a 2nd generation Intel Core processor, enabling the user’s multimedia experience. Priced from SGD1298, the new ASUS N Series is available from September 2011.
The notebook features ASUS SonicMaster Technology and was co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower to offer the best audio performance ever on a notebook, creating room-filling sound. The technology behind the ASUS Sonic Master system allows the notebook to filter sound from all different directions. All musical instruments’ sounds can be heard, giving the richness of sound variety.
The new ASUS N Series is easily powered up via an instant-on button that is integrated into the keyboard, putting the highest quality video and sound at users’ fingertips. The Music Now hot key at the top left of the keyboard allows for one click music in seconds, and media keys allow for quick multimedia control from the keyboard. The integrated video system allows users to watch the highest quality video, whilst users can create their own images with a built-in HD camera, which features low-light performance.
The notebook also boasts two USB 3.0 ports, which are up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. Transferring a full 4.7 GB DVD takes just 12 seconds. The notebook comes complete with a graphics system that allows for 20% more colour, and the latest enthusiast level NVIDIA graphics.
To support the launch, Intel and ASUS have joined forces with a leading team of creative artists including Grammy Award-winning musician Jason Mraz, film director Andy Morahan and photographer Don McCullin, to create a global competition, calling on entrants from 16 countries to submit their ideas of “the incredible.” The inspiration for entries could take many forms: a sight, a sound, a moment or even a creation. Participants are being asked to upload a description of what they find incredible along with any supporting imagery or multimedia content. Mraz, a multi-platinum singer-songwriter, will be part of a panel of judges that will adjudicate entries.
