Apple Might Ship New iPhone in September

If this new piece of information is reliable, it looks like the earlier news of the iPhone 5 not being ready for Apple's annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) could be true. According to unnamed sources within Apple's supply chain, the Cupertino-based company's new iPhone could start production as soon as July or August, putting a possible shipping date within the month of September.

Reuters - Apple's next-generation iPhone will have a faster processor and will begin shipping in September, three people with direct knowledge of the company's supply chain said. The production of the new iPhone will start in July/August and the smartphone will look largely similar to the iPhone 4, one of the people said on Wednesday.

Design-wise, the same sources have stated that the new iPhone will look much like the earlier iPhone 4. More importantly, the hardware within will get an upgrade, including a faster processor that'll power this new iPhone. Till now, Apple has no comments regarding this matter.
