Apple iPhone 6 Alleged to Have Ultra-Retina Display and 2.6GHz A8 Chipset

Apple iPhone 6 Alleged to Have Ultra-Retina Display and 2.6GHz A8 Chipset

Alleged specs of the Apple iPhone 6 have been revealed, thanks to well-known Apple product leaker Sonny Dickson who also shared some photos of its shells last month.

According to Dickson, the next generation iPhone will be just 0.22-inch (5.58mm) thin. This is about 2mm thinner than the current 7.6mm iPhone 5S. Moreover, the next iPhone will come with an "Ultra-Retina" display, which Dickson claims to be the official marketing term.

The "Ultra-Retina" display will come with a pixel density of 389ppi. In comparison, the iPhone 5S/5C/5 have a pixel density of 326ppi. In view of Android and Windows Phone flagship smartphones sporting Full-HD displays, Apple's move is hardly a surprise.

Dickson also claims that Apple's A8 processor will be clocked at 2.6GHz. The current A7 processor in the iPhone 5S has a clock speed of 1.3GHz while the A7 processors in the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display is slightly faster at 1.4GHz. It is likely that the extra processing power is required for the health tracking apps or services that Apple is rumored to be working on.

While Dickson cautions that "these specs could be the real thing", his accurate leaks with the fifth generation iPad, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C last year made him somewhat a reliable source.

Other rumored specs of the next iPhone include a 10-megapixel rear camera with F1.8 aperture, and display sizes of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch.

i am very happy with my iphone 5s 64GB for work (to store all video tutorials on work processes etc), as the fingerprint technology provided more secured access to all company data. Not sure when Iphone 6 will be launched and if the company will upgrade us to 6. Will you upgrade to iphone 6 and why?
Or switch from Samsung to Iphone? Is Samsung or iphone better for business? Any feedback?
