Months after iFixit published a blog post about the "Touch Disease" plaguing significant numbers of iPhone  6 users, Apple finally acknowledged the issue and launched a repair program which covers affected iPhone 6 Plus devices for 5 years after the first retail sale of the device.

According to Apple, some iPhone 6 Plus devices may have display flickering or multi-touch issues after being dropped several times and incurring additional stress. If the device shows these symptoms, is in working condition and the screen is not damaged, the user can send it to Apple or an authorized service provider for repair.

The suggested repair fee is S$219 and may differ from the pricing offered by authorized service providers. For customers who have paid for a service repair related to this issue, Apple will arrange an reimbursement. The reimbursement amount will be the difference between the price consumers paid for the original service and the suggested repair fee.
