Apple App Store Now Has 900,000 Apps with 575 Million Store Accounts

 

Apple just announced at its annual WWDC that it has 900,000 apps in the App Store, with 375,000 apps designed for the iPads. In addition, Apple CEO Tim Cook claims that the App Store has over 575,000 Store Accounts.

In terms of app download revenue by platform, Apple takes the cake with 74%. Android, on the other hand, occupies 20% and the other mobile platforms take the remaining 6%.

BlackBerry recently announced at its Live Conference that it has 120,000 apps in BlackBerry World. Google Android currently has over 700,000 apps while Microsoft's Windows Phone has over 145,000 apps.
